Time for a Change

Okay, first I have to brag a bit. Miss Bryanna (and her Kindergarten class from last year) made the cover of the local phone book! :) (she's on the bottom right)

Now -- I decided that I was ready for a change, so I chose to just do it Friday evening. I made the appointment Thursday, and Friday I put myself in the very capable hands of my new stylist. See the before and after below. It's already growing on me, but it will definitely take a while to get used to.

Before

And..........

After!

Yep, not only did I go short (which I've already done many times), I went Blonde - haven't had that color since I was about 6 or 7.

Love ya'll!

I Swear, When It Rains It Pours

Had a pretty good first week of school - no issues with the new teacher so far, so hopefully it will work out okay.
But NOW someone has decided to come down with Strep Throat, so now she's gets to miss day four and five of a new school year.
Yeah, she acts ssoooo sick - aside from the swollen tonsils and rash, she is bouncing off the freakin' walls. Hyper as ever, except for the occasional droopy moment.
Then of course, when we decided to keep her home and go to the doctor today, I went to the office for a couple of hours last night and found a pretty good oops there. Luckily I found out today that the document I prepared to (hopefully) fix the problem worked, and that we didn't have to postpone and re-schedule the hearing set for today. Thank God!
Anyway, I think I'm done for now - talk to everyone later.

First day of school

Well, we made it through the first day of school with no problems, but Marty & I did visit the principal’s office today. We did not have the greatest meet and greet with Bryanna’s new teacher last night, so we decided to let Mrs. Leeper know our concerns, BEFORE there was a problem.

One of the first things the new teacher mentioned when we met her was the she had heard she might have problems with Bryanna. Then later, Bryanna was looking around her new classroom and the teacher made the comment that "I can see we’re going to have problems." Now I’m not saying that she doesn’t get herself into trouble, but is it too much to ask that she gets to start each year with a clean slate?! (I won’t get into the comments made about meds in reference to her behavioral problems - I mean she’s 6, WTF?!)

Anyway, we decided to get it out in the open with the principal now, so it wouldn’t look like we were being defensive when, not if, she gets in trouble later. But we had a pretty good summer at the daycare, so maybe this year will go better - keep your fingers crossed and your prayers for Miss Thang’s behind coming.

After school we watched a friend of Bryanna’s, Rachel, for her dad. They decided to entertain themselves, and us, by dressing up and posing for pictures.
